Underworld: An Operatic Journey to Hell and Back is a series of promotional content and a ticket design for a Griffith Conservatorium opera. Drawing upon my own interest in Greek mythology, I illustrated an eye to be used as the key focal point of the design. Orpheus is not allowed to look back at the love of his life Eurydice as he escorts her back out of the underworld. Ultimately he fails at this and they are both sent back to the underworld. I chose to represent Orpheus and Eurydice as silhouettes inside the eye to convey an eeriness to match the music but also to convey the ending of the myth.
